Making sure all the pieces fit together precisely in the new $480 million Crocker Park retail complex, in Westlake, was the challenging assignment given to R.E. Warner. Our firm provided centerline construction control staking, building control staking and as-built QA/QC for the 75-acre park-like complex located 30 minutes west of Cleveland.
Our main responsibilities included maintaining accurate building and parking garage placement over the entire site. We also provided precise control points on elevated building floors to ensure all buildings were constructed within tolerances, both vertically and horizontally. In addition, on selected poured concrete floors, we performed floor flatness surveys which indicated relative change in floor elevations; layouts for parking lots, roadways and curbs throughout the entire site; and construction layout and staking for electric and telephone utilities throughout the project.
