Project Overview
R.E. Warner was chosen to provide multi-discipline engineering services for the construction of a complete Electric Arc Furnace Upgrade at a specialty product mini mill.
The project called for changing from their original operation of two low-powered electric arc furnaces (EAFs) to a single 125-ton capacity EAF capable of producing approximately 800,000 tons of liquid steel per year.
Our services included design, general arrangements, construction drawings and specifications for foundations, buildings, mechanical systems, power and utilities. In addition, we provided field support services during construction.
