Project Overview
R.E. Warner is providing ongoing engineering services to a major electric utility's Energy Delivery Planning and Protection Data and Reporting Group. Our scope of work involves using its proprietary software to provide transmission line loadability data.
From a compliance perspective in relation to the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standard FAC-008, the utility is expected to have a facility ratings methodology only for the Bulk Electric Systems (>100kV), but it also includes sub-transmission (<100kV) in itsfacility ratings methodology.
Engineering services consist of reviewing and updating models currently in the software for all current and future construction to provide and maintain correct, up-to-date facility ratings.
