St. Ignatius of Antioch Church on Lorain Road in Cleveland, Ohio selected R.E. Warner to prepare construction documents and studies for various capital improvements and upgrades throughout the church building and its adjacent property.  The ultimate goal of the capital improvement project was to improve the physical conditions of the church building.

The scope of service for this project included:

  •  Detailed condition survey and construction documents for the restoration of the 200 foot tall, historic stone masonry bell tower.  R.E. Warner’s investigation included a “hands-on”, arm’s length inspection of the condition of the interior and exterior surfaces of the masonry structure.  The inspection was conducted using a mobile crane equipped with a man-basket.  R.E. Warner inspectors established a system of communicating the results utilizing walkie-talkies.  Our report included our findings and detailed photographic documentation.
  • Assessment and repair/reconstruction design and drawings of the stairways and reinforced masonry retaining walls along with four side entrances and recessed window areas of the church.  R.E. Warner also provided an opinion of probable construction cost.
  • Design and construction documents for repair and/or replacement of reinforced concrete structural roof framing members above the existing underground coal bin and boiler room.  R.E. Warner also provided an opinion of probable construction cost.
