Preparation of plans and specifications for installation of a new 3000 ton in-line forge press and oxy-fuel fired soaking pit at a bearings and steel manufacturer’s plant. Project included site improvements, building expansion, heavy equipment foundations, deep sluiceway, process and utility piping systems, electrical power, lighting and communication systems.

Building expansions totaling nearly 10,000 square feet were made to the existing mill building. Code compliance evaluations were made to ensure all current and existing structures meet the latest industry standard requirements. Special considerations were made when assessing the integration and interaction between crane and building foundations with equipment foundations such as the forge press and rail bound manipulator.
