In order to improve plant efficiency and reduce environmental concerns, a chemical producer elected to replace the 32-year-old Titanium Chloride (T1CI4) distillation stripping column at their Ashtabula, Ohio facility with a new, high-pressure column.

R.E. Warner & Associates was selected by the owner to assist in the process design, develop equipment specifications, verify existing field conditions, prepare demolition plans and specifications, and provide contract documents for installation of the new column. This complex, multi-discipline project required close coordination between the structural, mechanical, electrical and controls engineers. R.E. Warner also assisted with contractor solicitations, bid evaluation, construction support and as-built drawings.
