This project reduced the acid mist emission from the thermal conversion system stack with the use of new B.A.C.T. system equipment. To achieve EPA compliance, this included the complete replacement of the original quench absorber scrubber tower.

Worked with owner’s project team to define the new and modified system requirements.

  • Developed the new system equipment and instrument specifications
  • Performed field work to verify and document conditions for detail design and installation.
  • Designed new high temperature inlet ducting, multi-weirs, air/water lance and piping, new access platforms, manways instrumentation loop controls and heat tracing.
  • Prepared equipment and construction bid documents and obtained vendor and contractor quotations.
  • Provided construction liaison and start-up support.
