Second E5 Leadership Class Graduates

R.E. Warner is proud to announce that our second E5 Leadership Academy class has graduated.

We know that our future success is contingent upon preparing our next generation of leaders. That’s why we invest in the continual development of our staff. This year’s class participants were (pictured above left, from left to right): Paul Winkler, Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager; Dave Walls, Electrical Department Manager; Mitch Reynolds, Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager; Matt Benovic, Senior Project Manager; Justin Haselton, Civil/Survey Department Manager; Jen Kalin, Architectural Designer/Project Manager; and Farres Sarrouh, Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager.

The E5 Leadership Academy is a leadership training program with a comprehensive approach to professional and personal growth. Of all the training programs out there, R.E. Warner has selected this curriculum because of its holistic philosophy. The E5 coaches teach others how to develop and maintain an overall equilibrium in the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and financial facets of their lives so that they may perform to their highest potential.

Congratulations to the 2016 E5 Leadership Academy class!

R.E. Warner Works with Akron University Students at TimkenSteel

Several of R.E. Warner’s industrial surveying specialists were recently at TimkenSteel’s Gambrinus Works to assist Akron University’s surveying and mapping students with their 2017 National Society of Professional Surveyors student competition project. The Canton Repository was on-site to capture photos. Click here to see the story.

The students completed a high-precision horizontal and vertical control survey at TimkenSteel’s Advanced Quench and Temper Facility (AQTF). They used both the traditional high-precision optical survey equipment and newer 3D laser tracker to complete the survey in order to compare the two methods. High-precision surveys are used for industrial projects to create high-precision project controls. High accuracy is crucial in the industrial environment where machinery is often set to 0.001 – 0.005 inches’ tolerance. The 3D laser tracker is the latest technology utilized to meet these stringent requirements.

As high-precision surveying technologies become more commonplace, especially for industrial settings, it is essential that future surveyors are aware of these new technologies. In response to this, Akron University’s surveying and mapping program is working to integrate new laser technologies into its curriculum. R.E. Warner is one of few firms in Northeast Ohio that uses these technologies for industrial applications, and as industrial surveying and mapping has gained […]

Case Study: 3D Laser Scanning & Modeling of a Chemical Facility

Listen as R.E. Warner’s Dave Andrews walks through the process of using 3D scanning and modeling at a chemical facility to create new P&ID sheets, piping models and structural models for maintenance. By using these new technologies, data captured is more accurate, leading to better plant renovations and maintenance that further extend the useful life of the facility.

2nd Annual Open House Benefitting Toys for Tots Another Successful Event

R.E. Warner’s second annual open house and Toys for Tots benefit was another successful event. Our office was transformed into a vendor show featuring various vendors with lots of great items. Each vendor donated a portion of their proceeds to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots. The event also featured chinese raffle prizes, grand prize Cavs tickets and a signed Browns football, video presentation, appetizers and beverages. All proceeds raised supported The Marine Toys for Tots mission to distribute toys to less fortunate children this past holiday season.
