Structural engineer Christopher A. Weeder earns PE licensure

R.E. Warner commends structural engineer Christopher A. Weeder for successfully passing the State of Ohio Professional Engineer’s exam, earning his professional engineering license. PE licensure signifies an engineer’s competence, dedication, and commitment to quality and ethics.

To earn their PE, engineers must: earn a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program; pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam; complete four years of progressive engineering experience under a PE; and pass the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam.

Chris has been part of R.E. Warner’s structural engineering department for four years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University. His experience includes structural steel and concrete design for various large-scale industrial and commercial clients, including serving as the lead structural engineer and resident engineer for the installation of a new $250 million bar rolling micro mill.  Chris is proficient in AutoCAD, WinBeam, Lingo, MATLAB, HydroCad and Visual Analysis.

R.E. Warner & Associates, Inc. is proud to announce that structural engineer Ryan J. O’Hearn has successfully passed the Professional Engineer’s exam, earning his Professional Engineering License in the State of Ohio.
PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence, a symbol of achievement and assurance of quality.
Congratulations to Ryan O’Hearn, P.E. for having achieved the highest standard within our industry!
Ryan has been with the firm for four years and is in the Structural Department of R.E. Warner. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University. His structural engineering experience includes structural steel and concrete design for various large-scale industrial and commercial clients.  His experience includes calculations for building and equipment foundations, structural steel and concrete details and sections, review of structural steel and concrete shop drawings and structural investigations and evaluations. He is proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD and RAM Concept.

Ryan serves as Secretary of the American Society of Civil Engineers Cleveland Section.

Project Manager/Architect Jen Kalin Earns Her RA, is Promoted to Senior Project Manager

R.E. Warner is pleased to announce that Jen Kalin, RA, LEED AP, Architect/Project Manager, has passed all seven of the Architectural Registration Exams (ARE) to become a licensed registered architect in the State of Ohio. In addition, in recognition of her hard work, dedication to client service, and superior leadership capabilities, she has been promoted to Senior Project Manager.

Warner is incredibly fortunate to have Jen as part of our team,” President & CEO Ted Beltavski said. “We are proud of her for receiving her architectural license, and even more pleased to promote her to Senior Project Manager. Jen’s experience involves public buildings and facilities, warehouses, maintenance and repair facilities, manufacturing plants, and office and administration buildings. Her portfolio includes new construction, renovation, and expansion projects.  She provides provides project management as well as full architectural services, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration. She also has the capability to provide interior design/interior architecture services.

Kevin Wilson Earns PE License

R.E. Warner is proud to announce that structural engineer Kevin Wilson has successfully completed the Principles and Practices of Engineering (PE), earning his Professional Engineering License in the State of Ohio!

Kevin is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering.  His background includes fall protection, industrial projects and structural inspections.  He is experienced in steel, reinforced concrete and anchor bolt design as well as existing structural analysis. He is particularly proficient in AutoCAD, RISA-3D, STAAD Pro, and Excel and has experience with numerous other software programs.

Matt Benovic Earns Cal OES SAP Registration

Senior Project Manager Matt Benovic, PE, SE, LEED AP has completed California’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) Safety Assessment Program training (SAP). Matt is now registered as a Safety Assessment Program Evaluator to be called upon in the event of disaster in California or around the country.

The SAP utilizes volunteers and mutual aid resources to provide professional engineers, architects, and certified building inspectors to local governments to assist with safety evaluations of the built environment in the aftermath of a disaster. The program is managed by Cal OES, with cooperation from professional organizations. The SAP is activated at the request of local government through the Incident Command System (ICS)- based Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS).

The SAP training teaches evaluators how to conduct safety assessments of buildings and infrastructure, including bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and roads, as well as provides instruction on the use of assessment forms for both buildings and infrastructure.
