R.E. Warner named among ENR Midwest’s Top Design Firms

R.E. Warner has been named among the Top Design Firms on ENR Midwest’s annual list, ranked by revenue.

The firm was also named on Crain’s Cleveland’s list of Largest Engineering Firms, ranked by the number of local registered engineers.

We congratulate all who earned spots on these lists and are proud to be in such good company. It is an honor to be recognized as a firm making significant contributions to our region.

Two R.E. Warner Associates Named Engineering News-Record Midwest’s 2018 Top Young Professionals

On December 21, Engineering News-Record Midwest named the 2018 class of Top Young Construction and Design Professionals under the age of 40 who have built extraordinary industry portfolios, donated significant time and expertise to serve their communities, and worked on innovative solutions that saved time and money on their projects.  Among the 21 selected young professionals was R.E. Warner’s own Matt Benovic and Jennifer Rowles Kalin.

Benovic was nominated for his crucial role in managing and delivering engineering design projects for several of our firm’s top 10 clients.  In addition to helping launch R.E. Warner’s Mentorship Matters program and his active participation in industry organizations.

Kalin was nominated for helping to grow R.E. Warner’s government and commercial influence, with her projects totaling 33% of the firm’s government and commercial market revenue in 2017.  Jen has also grown our firm’s philanthropy initiatives by coordinating fundraising efforts that annually raise more than $11,000.

R.E. Warner President Ted Beltavski Honored as Distinguished CSU Alumnus

R.E. Warner President Ted Beltavski (pictured fifth from left) was one of the honorees celebrated at Cleveland State University’s 27th Annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 6, 2017.

The Distinguished Alumni Awards program recognizes CSU alumni who have distinguished themselves professionally, brought honor to the University, and have made significant contributions of time and/or philanthropy to the university or their community. One graduate is selected by his or her college each year to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award. Ted represented the Washkewicz College of Engineering.

Ted has been part of the R.E. Warner team for 15 years and served as department manager, operations director and vice president before being named president in 2012. His management and engineering experience also includes 20 years with CEI/Centerior Energy/FirstEnergy. He is a registered professional engineer in 19 states and is the past president of the Cleveland Engineering Society.

A two-time CSU alumnus, he earned a bachelor of science in civil engineering in 1982 and a master of science in civil engineering in 1986. Ted currently serves on the College of Engineering Visiting Committee, has participated in the Business Alumni Speaker Series, and has taught Engineering Structural Mechanics at the university.

R.E. Warner team is proud to report that for the fourth year in a row our company has been listed among Zweig Group’s Best Multi-Discipline Firms to Work For, a highly-regarded AEC industry honor!

The Best Firms to Work For award recognizes the top architecture, structural engineering, civil engineering, environmental, geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture/planning, and multi-discipline firms in the US and Canada.

We thank all our valued employees who took the time to complete the employee survey. Their feedback and attitudes toward the company make up 40% of our ranking. The other 60% is determined via a corporate survey that speaks to R.E. Warner’s performance, employee benefits, policies, practices, and much more. We also thank those individuals who took the time to include meaningful comments in the open-ended questions section. They provide affirmation of what we are doing well while also proposing suggestions for how we can improve as a company.

R.E. Warner Associate Justin Haselton Recognized as Rising Star by Civil + Structural Engineering Magazine

R.E. Warner & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that Justin Haselton, Civil Engineering/Survey Department Manager, has been named as a 2017 Rising Star in Civil Engineering by the Zweig Group’s Civil + Structural Engineer magazine. Justin is one of 29 professionals in the nation selected in the magazine’s sixth annual Rising Stars in Civil Engineering and Rising Stars in Structural Engineering awards program.

According to the magazine, the awards program represents civil and structural engineers 40 years old or younger working in the United States who have shown exceptional technical capability, leadership ability, effective teaching or research, or public service benefiting the civil and structural engineering profession, their employers, project owners, and society.

“We are delighted that the Zweig Group selected Justin as one of the 2017 Rising Stars in Civil Engineering,” president Ted Beltavski, PE said. “Justin has excellent technical and leadership skills, and he has made many contributions to the engineering profession. We are proud to have him as part of our team and look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes in the years to come.”
