PROJECT ARCHITECT | Westlake

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required.  Architect’s Registration in USA required.  Ohio registration a plus.  Minimum seven years’ experience in architectural and planning services required for the pre-design programming and planning, conceptual design, design development and architectural construction documents and construction administration of new construction, additions and renovation projects. Experience must include:

  • Preparing accurate working drawings and specifications
  • Establishing and maintaining budgets and schedules for architectural design.
  • Knowledge of current building codes and building standards including life safety and fire protection requirements and regulations.
  • Preparing proposals and presentations
  • Serving as lead architect
  • Preparing bid documents and compiling bid evaluations
  • Interfacing with all engineering disciplines
  • Acting as liaison between clients, contractors and agencies
  • Conducting departmental checking of all drawings, specifications and shop drawings
  • Providing detailed correspondence including transmittals, construction contracts, shop drawing processing, change orders and product information on designated projects
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit is a plus, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Design Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
MECHANICAL FIELD/OFFICE TECHNICIAN | Canton
  • Associates degree or higher in surveying or engineering technologies or equivalent experience in industrial surveying.
  • Opportunities in Faro 3D laser tracking and machinery alignment (both in the machine shop and during installation), creating reports from data gathered by the laser tracker, Polyworks software, AutoCAD, and assisting civil/survey crews.
  • Skills and experience of value include 3D laser tracking, use of optical survey/optical tooling equipment, and creating AutoCAD drawings.
FIELD SURVEYOR/TECHNICIAN | Canton
  • Minimum two years’ experience in industrial applications of surveying.
  • Opportunities in 3D laser tracking (Metrology), 3D laser scanning, aerial drone mapping, construction staking, mechanical alighnment, and mapping.
  • Experience with Trimble robotic and GPS surveying equipment, Faro 3D Laser Tracker and Civil 3D software preferred.
PROCESS SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER | Westlake
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Registered Professional Engineer, and ten years experience in the design, project management and construction administration for capital and maintenance projects for large and complex chemical process and production plants. Minimum four years experience with responsible, professional, supervisory and administrative experience.
  • Experience must include: 
    • Conceptual engineering, preliminary process design, technical and feasibility studies, final design, construction administration, start-up and operator training including projects involving chemical plants, plastic resin plants, paint, coatings and pigment facilities, petroleum refining, fuel storage and handling facilities, hazardous chemical storage and handling facilities, manufacturing and warehousing facilities.
SURVEYOR/CREW CHIEF | Westlake and Canton
  • Bachelor of Science in Surveying, Ohio Registered Professional Surveyor, minimum five years of surveying field and office experience including:
  • Party chief performing boundary surveys, ALTA, topographic and construction surveys. Ability to manage multiple survey projects, perform boundary resolutions, oversee survey technicians, prepare cost estimates and proposals.
  • Experience with Trimble robotic and GPS surveying equipment with Civil 3D software preferred
MECHANICAL/PIPING DESIGNER | Westlake
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and minimum of eight years of progressive experience in design and drafting of process and utility piping systems.  Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2010.  Experience in AutoCAD 3D and/or solid works a plus.  Design experience must include:
  • Layout and routing of complex process and utility piping systems.
  • Selection and design of pipe supports.
  • Preparation of piping plans, sections, details and isometrics.
  • Performance of field surveys to obtain accurate measurements independently.
  • Development of material specifications, take offs and cost estimates.
SENIOR PROCESS/ELECTRICAL (I&C) ENGINEER | Westlake
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology ( BSET ) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required. Registered professional engineer preferred. Minimum five years experience in the design and specification of instrumentation and control systems for metal production and processing plants, chemical processing plants, manufacturing facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants. Experience must include:
  • Specifying field instrumentation
  • Specifying DCS / PLC hardware and wiring design
  • Working knowledge of P&ID’s, PFD’s, loop diagrams, installation details, conduit and cable schedules, and NEC/ISA standards
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
  • Proficient in the use of Word and Excel
SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER | Westlake
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology ( BSET ) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required. Registered professional engineer preferred. Minimum five years experience in the design and specification of power distribution systems, lighting and specialty systems (communication, life safety), for industrial, commercial and institutional facilities. Experience must include:·
  • Preparing detailed engineering calculations (short circuit and lighting, arc flash analysis a plus)
  • Performing engineering-related field tasks at active construction sites or operating facilities
  • Preparing formal engineering technical reports
  • Developing equipment specifications, estimates, and bid evaluation·
  • Serving as discipline lead performing engineering hour estimate and scope of work·
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in the use of Word and Excel
ELECTRICAL DESIGNER | Westlake
  • Associate or accredited bachelors degree tracked in electrical engineering and minimum of two years experience in AutoCAD drafting of electrical drawings. Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2010. Experience in BIM/Revit a plus. Experience must include:
  • Generation of schematic motor control drawings, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, terminal blocks, bills of materials, one line diagrams and conduit schedules.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards.
  • Performance of field surveys as member of team to obtain accurate measurements and equipment data.
SENIOR TRAFFIC ENGINEER | Westlake
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Registered Professional Engineer or ability to become registered within one year, and four to eight years of experience in the study, design and preparation of plans for traffic signals and traffic signal systems for state and local government agencies.  Must be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation as well as AutoDesk.  Traffic experience must include:
  • Traffic count programs
  • Trip generation
  • Signal warrants
  • Traffic controls
  • Access management
  • HCS/Synchro
  • Traffic signal systems
  • Traffic studies
SENIOR BRIDGE ENGINEER | Westlake
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required, Master of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Registered professional engineer and eight to 12 years of progressive experience in design, detailing and plan preparation for Level 1 (simple) and Level 2 (complex) bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects.
  • Structural design of buildings and facilities a plus.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
STRUCTURAL DESIGNER | Westlake
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in preparing layouts and development of sections and details for building foundations and steel framing based on sketches, notes and discussions/direction from engineers on a variety of commercial, institutional and industrial facilities.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
  • CADD 3D and BIM/Revit experience a plus.
